If you’re looking for a solid white Burgundy to put in your fridge that isn’t going to break the bank then look no further than this absolutely delightful wine from one of our favourites, Mark Haisma. Many of you already know the quality that Mark’s wines deliver from his other, predominantly red Burgundy vineyards, but he also makes some of the most honest, complete and balanced whites. Mark works closely with extremely passionate growers, harvesting himself and thus gets ideally ripened fruit to make this lovely Chassagne Montrachet. As always, his wines are approachable, balanced and fresh. 2020 was a warm vintage so the fruit is voluptuous and generous and perfect for early drinking. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better Village-level Chassagne Montrachet anywhere.

Of particular note are the vertical Volnay’s from Coche Dury, Grand Cru Gevrey’s from Vougeraie and superb Grand Cru and 1er wines from Georges Noellat with great quantity. These wines are a delight to drink and even better at these globally low prices. Vosne Romanee Spotlight
Vosne Romanee is known for producing Village and 1er Cru level wines that often display Grand Cru quality depth and complexity. Vineyards such as “Les Gaudichots 1er Cru” or “Malconsorts” or “Petits Monts” just to name a few, are often some of the most enchanting wines you will ever experience. In fact, there are Village level wines from the likes of Madame Leroy and Bizot that are so next level they do justify the dizzyingly high prices found in the market.
But then you can also find great value in such names as Georges Noellat, Ben Leroux, Forey, Pierre Girardin or Coquard Loisson Fleurot, all of which are now available in our list. We are happy to help make some personal recommendations so don’t hesitate to speak with us.

Yann Durieux: Discover one of the most sought after natural fine wines
We are all aware that "natural wine" no longer equates to funky and inexpensive. Among the shining labels that proudly grace the middle rack of your wine fridge, there may be esteemed natural fine wines such as Prieure Roch and Federic Cossard. But have you heard of Yann Durieux?
After 10 years as the head winemaker of Prieure Roch, Yann Durieux decided to make his own wines in 2010 in a lesser-known region of Burgundy called the Haute Cote de Nuits where DRC is a neighbour.
In a rebellious move, Yann deliberately choses to downgrade all his wines to the lowest French classification, Vin de France, granting him the freedom to cultivate and create wines without restrictions. And as Vin de France regulations do not require vintage disclosure, Yann has chosen to conceal the vintage on the back label.
